2008 NCAA Championships: Six All-Americans, 19th place
Four members of the Oswego State men's swimming and diving team made prominently represented the Lakers on the All-American podium throughout the competition at the recently-completed NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships held in Oxford, Ohio on the campus of Miami University.
The Laker quartet combined for six All-American finishes, including three First Team honors in their respective events. Oswego State accumulated enough points to finish 19th overall in the team standings at the national meet.

LAKER SWIMMING & DIVING NAMED NCAA DIVISION III SCHOLAR ALL-AMERICA TEAMS
The Oswego State men's and women's swimming and diving team were recognized as NCAA Division III Scholar All-America teams by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the 2007-08 season. The Lakers were the lone SUNYAC school to have both its men's and women's teams honored by the CSCAA, which awards Scholar All-America recognition to teams that carry a 3.00 cumulative grade point average.
The Laker men were the lone SUNYAC team represented among 35 NCAA Division III teams, posting a 3.100 GPA for the 2007-08 season. Oswego also had two individuals garner Scholar All-America accolades. Diver Kevin Morgan, a spring 2008 graduate, ranked 21st among 42 awardees with a 3.76 GPA, while classmate and fellow diver Carleton Dotson ranked 35th with a 3.61 GPA.
The Oswego women were one of three SUNYAC teams honored among 71 Division III Institutions with a combined 3.14 grade point average. SUNY Geneseo (3.22) and SUNY Fredonia (3.05) were the other conference representatives.
