Interim Head Coach Andrew Hunsinger

Andrew Hunsinger has been named interim head coach for cross country and track and field at Oswego State for the 2008-09 season.  He served as assistant coach for both programs during the 2007-08 season.

Hunsinger is a 2007 graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh, where he was captain of the indoor and outdoor track and field teams, holding a pair of school records.  He earned his bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in coaching of track and field.

Hunsinger is Level I certified by USA Track & Field (USATF) and served as an intern in track & field  coaching Seton Catholic High School in Plattsburgh.

Hunsinger left Plattsburgh as the school-record holder in the 400-meter, and 800-meter relays and earned All-SUNYAC and All-ECAC recognition several times.  Prior to Plattsburgh, he attended SUNY New Paltz, where he was a SUNYAC champion in the 100-meter dash and held six school records before the program was discontinued.

Assistant Coach Phillip Goodwin

Phillip Goodwin is in his first season as assistant cross country and track & field coach at Oswego State.  He is a 2003 graduate of SUNY New Paltz, where he was captain of the Hawks' cross country and track & field teams, holding several school records.  Goodwin graduated with a bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in creative writing.

Goodwin is Level I certified by USA Track & Field and served as an assistant coach at SUNY Plattsburgh during the 2003-04 season, where he coached several SUNYAC and ECAC event qualifiers, resulting in 14 All-SUNYAC and eight All-ECAC performers.  Several school records were also established under his tutelage.

Goodwin also spent three seasons (2004, '06, '07) as an athlete with the United States Bobsled and Skeleton Federaton, where he was ranked as high as 18th in the nation for skeleton.
