Planning for Quest 2008 is now underway. As you know, we traditionally set aside one day each academic year to recognize academic excellence in scholarly and creative activities. On that day we dismiss regular classes so all students and faculty members can participate in the day-long series of events. The day is a very strong statement of our commitment to intellectual rigor as a campus goal. Please mark your calendars and syllabi for Quest on April 23, 2008.
There are a variety of ways to participate in Quest. You might sponsor student (or faculty) panels or posters. You can encourage students and colleagues to attend presentations in place of their dismissed classes. You can help by telling others about the event. In any case, please plan to be an active participant in Quest 2008.
A call for proposals is forthcoming. For more information, please contact Jack Gelfand, Director, Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, x-2888 or gelfand@oswego.edu. Thank you.
