This page contains information for the SUNY Oswego community regarding activities related to the pilot phase of an initiative that is expected to lead to the insertion of hybrid courses - courses that are partly delivered in classrooms, partly online - into the curriculum.
On Friday, May 27, 2005, Provost Susan Coultrap-McQuin presented a charge to the Hybrid Pilot Oversight Committee that has three specific goals:
- Solicit and review proposals from faculty for participation in the pilot process;
- engage in ongoing assessments of the process - consider the impact of hybrid courses on learning outcomes and student satisfaction in such courses;
- recommend policies and procedures relating to hybrid courses by spring, 2007.
The charge (link to full text version) includes a membership selected to provide as broad a representation of the Division of Academic Affairs as possible and a timeline with specific tasks to be undertaken between summer, 2005, and spring, 2007.
