Guide to Student Professional Travel Support

There are a number of sources to obtain support for student travel to make presentations at conferences, exhibits or performances. Preference will be given to students who are presenting their own work at the conference. Students are encouraged to apply to as many sources as possible. A uniform application form (PDF 21.9 KB) (DOC 25.5 KB) and faculty sponsor form (PDF 17.3 KB) (DOC 26.5 KB) are recommended. Please read the Guidelines for Applying for Student Travel Support (PDF 15.9 KB) (DOC 23.5 KB) before preparing your request.

Please be advised that there is a limited amount of funds to support student travel requests. Most applications will not receive full funding and costs saving procedures are encouraged. These procedures would include selecting state and local conferences, applying for discount group rates at hotels in proximity to the conference, and driving to nearby venues as opposed to flying.
