The School of Education serves the needs of students through its excellent programs.  The various departments in the School of Education also provide timely advisement services to candidates as they move through their required courses and field experiences. 

We recognize the excellent academic performance of our students on the President's List and Dean's List each semester and by reporting the New York State Teacher Certification Exam scores earned by our graduates each year.  Academic excellence is also recognized by the many education scholarships that are available to both undergraduate and graduate students.  On the other end of the spectrum, the School of Education provides help for students who are in academic difficulty.

Education students play a vital role in meeting their own needs as well.  There are many student organizations that make it easy for education students to collaborate on special projects, form study groups, get to know one another, and have fun.   Students also have opportunities to get involved in school-based initiatives.  Finally, student representatives to Faculty Council help to improve learning opportunities and make policies that affect candidates at SUNY Oswego
