RECENT EVENTS

CAREER INFORMATION DAY

This event was held on Monday, 7 April 2008

The event featured a panel of four distinguished guest speakers. During these panel discussions and presentations, students learned about the application of foreign language skills to a wide range of careers, e.g., business, law, education, government, library work/studies, social work, the Peace Corps, , etc.

The following were the participants for this event:

Business: Edward Marron, Business Development Manager at Goodrich Corporation, Oswego Alumnus

Linguist:  Sgt. First Class Tanya Smith, US Army

International Education: Ryan Lemon, SUCO

Teaching:  Raelene Noll, Chair,  Foreign Language Department, Burnt-Hills/Balston Lake High School, Oswego Alumna

This program turned out to be very informative, practical and fun.
