The School of Business at SUNY Oswego is an academic community composed of students,  faculty, and staff.   The Mission of the School of Business is to prepare capable women and men for responsible positions of management in business, industry and public organizations; to provide outstanding individuals with the background necessary to pursue advanced study; and to provide the larger community with opportunities for professional and organizational growth.

The School of Business will achieve its mission through the systematic development and implementation of strategies designed to achieve the following goals: 

• Provide a rigorous and structured curriculum that enhances the ability to think critically and to communicate effectively, the ability to search for and synthesize knowledge from a variety of sources, and the ability to respond to changing regional, national and global environments.
• Provide an environment conducive to the professional and intellectual growth and development of students, faculty and staff.
• Encourage a spirit of inquiry through applied research and other creative activities.
• Respond constructively to meet the educational needs of an increasingly diverse population.
• Encourage an appreciation for cultural diversity and the globalization of business.
• Provide professional and educational opportunities in support of the economic development of the region.
